Fast Healthier Alternative Ground Turkey Meatballs

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 20 ounce package ground turkey
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 20 ounce jar of Pasta Sauce
  • Mozzarella or Provolone Cheese
  • 1 sprig of fresh Oregano
  • Parmesan (optional)

  1. Have the oven preheated to 350 degrees F. Use the Olive Oil to grease a 9x13 inch baking dish, and place it in the oven while it is preheating.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the egg, ground turkey, and bread crumbs using your hands. Form the meat into meatballs about two inches in diameter. Place about 1 inch apart in the warmed baking dish. Press down to get the bottom slightly flattened.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes after the oven is preheated, then flip them over, and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until mildly crispy on the outside.
  4. Add sauce, cheese & Oregano and let cook for 5 more minutes or until warm & cheese is melted. 
  5. Add Parmesan cheese if desired
